TABINFO Latin America/Caribbean 2008 has been replaced by the Tobacco Reporter Global Tobacco Networking Forum 2008 (GTNF)

Next TABINFO Asia event will be held in 2009 in Bangkok

The industry tells us there are too many expositions and congresses and not enough possibilities for people in the industry to expand and reinforce their critical personal and professional networks. We have listened, and we are changing to meet that demand.

TABEXPO is devoted to presenting the global tobacco industry event every four years. To that end, we have created events in Vienna, Geneva, Barcelona and Paris over the past 13 years. TABINFO, in turn, is a regional information transfer event with an accompanying exposition, also held every four years, giving us an event every two years, alternating between two entirely different approaches to meeting industry needs. The next TABINFO will be held in 2009 in Bangkok.

TABINFO Latin America/Caribbean 2008 doesn't fit that schedule. Rather than holding just another congress and exhibition to go with the large number of small exhibitions being organized around the world, we are turning in a totally different direction with the Tobacco Reporter Global Tobacco Networking Forum 2008, to be held October 15-17 in the Intercontinental Hotel, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Tobacco Reporter Global Tobacco Networking Forum (GTNF 2008) will be an event unlike any the industry has ever experienced. Rather than a traditional congress, the networking forum will be launched by a powerful keynote speaker and focused by highly qualified moderators who will bring together attendees with similar interests, facilitate discussions and help attendees build lasting, mutually beneficial networks. Static graphic displays are available in networking areas.

Companies desiring additional exposure can do so through a number of widely varied sponsorships. GTNF 2008 will simply focus on tobacco industry people meeting together to discuss the directions of the industry and to develop the connections that will enable their companies, themselves and the industry to maximize its opportunities and to minimize its difficulties.
